Rural farmers in six villages have been trained in conservation agriculture with new training groups starting each season.
Mama Daniel has been working with her husband, Pastor Joseph, to facilitate EI Tanzania’s Conservation Agriculture Project in Igumumoyo in the Mwanza region. Their hard work and dedication in making this method work is very encouraging.
About 80% of Tanzanians are dependent on the land for their livelihood.
Using the Bible as a textbook in conservation agriculture methods each farmer will learn to grow and farm their land “Gods Way”. Our training includes:
1. Seminars on conservation agricultural practices
2. Learning to grow and plant crops
3. Training in crop planting methods
4. Reducing deforestation
5. Understanding spiritual causes of poor land use and harvests and being encouraged to transform their lifestyles and habits
