Howard Ratcliff - Visionary Passes Away

Executive Director of Emmanuel International Canada Richard McGowan, commenting on the recent passing of Howard Ratcliff, said, "We are sad for the loss of a friend, supporter and visionary."

At the core of Emmanuel International’s ministry is the belief that God really cares for the poor and needy of our world and that as Christians we are to be God’s hands and feet in responding to that need. Howard Ratcliff was not merely someone who talked about sharing that belief, but he acted to help meet that extraordinary need with extraordinary generosity. Howard provided a piece of property, that he owned, to Emmanuel International. The building on that property has housed our national offices for almost 40 years. Beyond that, Howard was instrumental in starting a successful Youth Centre and Youth For Christ in Stouffville, Ontario.

He served on the board of EIC for many years as well as investing of his time, his reputation, his relationships and his financial resources, a powerful picture of a true servant of God who engaged in supporting kingdom work.

There is no doubt that for the ministry of Emmanuel International Howard came to the kingdom of God for such a time as this.

"Even though Howard Ratcliff has gone home to meet the God he served we know that his generosity will continue to bless and inspire generations to come," said McGowan.
